The Incredible Shrinking House

Before most of you were born, the Parker-Morris Committee drew up minimum standards for social housing which included indicators on how much was needed as a reasonable living space .  It is doubful if theese standards are still in use; modern housing seems to be shrinking in size.  As we passed a new development of tiny houses the other night, my companion remarked. “How can people live in houses that size? Where do they keep all their books?”
